PUBG Mobile, the most popular mobile game of 2018 has received yet another massive update. The last update was released just two months ago on the occasion of Halloween. This new update was pushed to the Google Play store and Apples App Store today and players can download and update it from there. Here’s everything new from the PUBG Mobile 0.10.0 update.

Vikendi – The New Snow Map
Earlier this year through various leaks a new map surfaced online called the Vikendi. It’s the fourth playable map on PUBG Mobile and spans across 6kmx6km which sits just right in between the 8 KM x 8 KM map of Erangel and 4 KM x 4 KM map of Sanhok. Vikendi is completely covered in snow, and some of the important hotspot locations include Dinopark, Cosmozone, winery and a castle.
Along with the usual cars on the map, there’s also a new snowmobile which is exclusive to Vikendi. The handling physics have been reworked to the characteristics of the terrain. The new map isn’t available as of yet but you can download it on or after December 20th.
While waiting in the spawn island users can also throw snowballs on other players. Footprints and tire tracks will be clearly visible if the player is going through the snow area. Also, just like Halloween theme which made its way to the main menu, this new winter theme will replace the current one. Cross-server matching has also been added via update. Players can be matched with other players on a different server given the condition that they both are in the same tier. Players can also report suspicious behaviour if they see any in spectator mode.
Other minor improvements
The minor improvement includes support for the Arabic language. Some minor changes in the reward system, updated Anti-Cheat engine, a completely revamped shop front & weapons lab where users can equip their weapons with unique capabilities like kill effects, death crates and unique kill broadcasts. The new update comes in around 1.6 GB which is basically the whole game data being re-downloaded. We would have loved to see the developers roll-out an incremental update instead of just downloading the whole game again.
